Today we managed to get ourselves to Djenne and back. Djenne has the largest mud building in the world and is a world heritage site. After shrugging off the potential guides we had a great time wandering round the narrow alleys and admiring the many attractive mud buildings.
Tomorrow we head off to Dogon country for six days. We'll be doing a lot of walking, though as well as organising a guide we have arranged porters for our bags.
